Open Source Software in Safety-Critical Systems Summit - October 31, 2019 - Lyon, France

We're excited to announce Open Source Software in Safety-Critical Systems Summit will be happening on October 31, 2019 in Lyon, France.
This conference is the second summit in the area of open-source software and safety-critical systems, being a further evolution of last year’s Linux in Safety-Critical Systems Summit. In addition to Linux, this year we would like to include presentations from activities and experts around other open-source projects that aim towards use in safety-critical systems. 

The summit will take place alongside Open Source Summit + Embedded Linux Conference Europe 2019 in Lyon, France. It is scheduled the day after the main conference, Thursday, October 31st, 2019, from 8:00 to 17:00 at the conference venue. If you are planning to attend Open Source Summit + Embedded Linux Conference Europe 2019 in Lyon, France, please extend your travel by one day to be in Lyon on Thursday, 31st to join others in-person to present ideas and discuss how to achieve safety of current and future systems that use open-source software.

Please help us promote/share the conference and the CFP with your networks.

ELISA Open TSC Forum and Working Group Mailing List Subgroups

Dear all,

Many of you joined the ELISA community's mailing list main group but may not have opted into a Working Group or Technical Steering Committee open forum (general technical discussions that cut across Working Groups) mailing list subgroups.

Below are instructions on how to join such a group and to subscribe to their meeting calendar so you can participate in the conversations: 

Subscribe to an ELISA mailing list subgroup

  • Log into https://lists.elisa.tech/g/main
  • Click on Subgroups to the left and this will display the list of available subgroups 
  • Navigate to the subgroup of your choice
  • Click +Join This Group toward the near bottom of the page and this will add you to the group.

Subscribe to a specific subgroup's meeting calendar (e.g. safety-architecture working group)
  • Login into groups.io for the specific subgroup you are interested in
  • Make sure you're subscribed to that specific subgroup (if not, following the instructions above)
  • Click the "Your Calendar" icon on the left: https://lists.elisa.tech/g/safety-architecture/calendar (for example the Safety Architecture group)
  • Scroll to the bottom of the page
  • Click the "Subscribe to Calendar" button
  • copy the url that is generated
  • Paste the url using whatever method your calendar reader uses for internet calendar subscriptions (e.g. Other Calendars >> From URL)
  • In addition, a calendar reminder, including zoom meeting dial-in details, tagged as #cal-reminder, is sent to the subscribers of the subgroup 24 hours in advance of the meeting.

Our Spring Workshop will be taking place next week over the course of 3 half days from April 5-7. 

Our Workshop Series provides a dedicated platform for the core contributors to come together to further their ongoing work and collaboratively plan for what's coming up. For those who are (relatively) new, the Workshop provides an introduction to what the community is working on, what's coming up, and how they can participate to enrich the ongoing conversation and collaboration.
